The course content meets OFSTED/EYFS requirements, making it an ideal choice for those working or aspiring to work in an environment involving children.
Who Should Attend?
This Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Course is primarily designed for individuals who work with children, such as teachers, childminders, nursery staff, and after-school club personnel. It’s also an excellent choice for parents or guardians wanting to gain a robust understanding of paediatric first aid. Prior first aid knowledge is not necessary to join this course, making it accessible to all.
What You'll Learn
Participants will learn how to respond to a variety of paediatric emergencies. The course covers essential topics such as CPR for children and infants, choking, asthma, allergic reactions, burns, and head injuries. Additionally, you’ll gain knowledge on how to manage illnesses and conditions specific to children and how to accurately report and record incidents.
The Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Course is conducted over two days. The first day is dedicated to e-learning, allowing participants to gain theoretical knowledge at their own pace. The second day focuses on practical training, providing hands-on experience under the guidance of our expert trainers.
Upon successful completion of the course, attendees will receive a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Certificate, accredited by Qualsafe and approved by OFSTED/EYFS. This certification is valid for three years and serves as proof of the holder’s competence in handling paediatric first aid situations.
The course assessment is carried out in two parts, aligning with the course structure. The e-learning component includes knowledge checks throughout, while the practical day involves continuous observation by the trainer. This dual approach ensures a comprehensive understanding of paediatric first aid, with successful attendees demonstrating competence in both theory and practice.
